Week 6

This week, I used the ChatGPT Work feature for the first time. I used it to build the low-fidelity prototype and user journey storyboard for my Week 6 assignment.

I came into the week with changes I wanted to make to my design based on my Week 5 interviews. Instead of asking ChatGPT to start building right away, I explained the adjustments I wanted to make and asked it to tell me about any questions, thoughts, or areas it needed clarification on before diving in. I have started doing this more often. In Week 4 I asked Replit to write a plan before it built anything, and doing the same thing here was useful. It lets me check that the tool understood what I was asking for before any work has been done.

One of the ideas it suggested for the prototype did not align with the intent behind my design changes. I can see why it suggested it, but it did not reflect the reason I was making the change. I corrected it before moving forward.

This was similar to something I noticed last week. ChatGPT knew what change I wanted to make, but not why I wanted to make it. I had to be clear about my own reasoning to catch that the suggestion was off.

AI tools this week: ChatGPT (Work) — used for the first time, to build my low-fidelity prototype and user journey storyboard from design changes that came out of my Week 5 interviews. What I changed: I asked it for questions and areas of clarification before it started building, and when it suggested a prototype idea that did not align with the intent behind my design changes, I corrected it before moving forward.
